Jamie’s Story
When I started this journey, I was a single mother trying to provide the best life possible for my son and myself. I knew that wouldn’t be possible in today’s world without a college degree.
Without help from The Scholarship Fund, I don’t think I would have had any way to go to college. Instead, with assistance from the Fund, I was able to earn both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
As a licensed nursing facility administrator working in a field I love, I’ve been able to provide a stable home for my son. My education dramatically changed my life and allowed me to become a productive citizen who gives back to my community on a daily basis.
